Had a squeak coming from what I thought was the rear drivers side wheel. Assumed it was a low pad sensor. Swapped out pads all the way around. Turns out it still squeaks. Only squeaks going forward not in reverse. Squeaks in drive and just rolling forward in neutral. Could the emergency brake cause a squeak like this? Something else cause this? The sound is not constant. It is definitely at a rotational interval. Maybe not the wheel? Any ideas?

If you jack up the corner and spin the wheel (by hand) do you hear the squeak? (Please use jack stands for safety).

Are all the suspension bushes in good condition.

water will often temporarily stop a squeak. (Ie. for a couple of minutes). Put some in a squirt bottle and squirt one suspension rubber and test to see if the squeak is gone, then squirt the next and test and so forth.. If the squeak is too intermittent this may not work.

Is the spare tyre tightly secured to the vehicle. Mine was loose and squeaked.
