Satnav daylight and nightime modes

hello recent brought a b9 tribeca and i have an issue where when night time comes the satnav doesnt change the screen to the nightime style (black background with white streets and text also) when the time comes for it to change, in the settings its on auto and in the instruction manual it states it is to do with the headlights (when there on the satnav switches to the other mode) have any of you suffered this problem i own an 06-07 tribeca and im from the land of down under. :lol:

Even though it's on Auto, you have to set the illumination ajustment button (turn until it clicks) once you do that it will change when you turn on the headlights.
