I thought I'd share my Easter weekend away with the Tribeca. We had a ball, and the car performed better than I expected. First up though as we were on the ferry over to Stradbroke Island, I had all these other campers coming over for a tour of the car, everyone was impressed and most people hadn't seen a Tribeca before.
When we arrived on the island it was off to the camp site, now I was worried if the Tribeca could handle the sand, but I had no problems at all, the AWD system kept us on track and boy was it smooth. I could zoom out the Sat Nav and see where we were on the island, pretty cool. Over the next few days I loved driving on the beach and touring the Island, if you haven't been to Straddie, give it a go. It cost $112 return to take your car.
Now on the last day, it rained cats and dogs, and man was it windy. Our ferry back was due to leave at 8pm, so we had a nice dinner at a pizza and pasta bar at Point Lookout. We were heading to the ferry in the pouring rain, feeling like drowned rats when I remembered we had heated seats, Man how good did that feel, all up your back and on your bum. That was it my wife said we are never selling this car. On the ferry we ended up staying in the car, it was too windy and rainy to get out, so we laid back and put on a movie on the Sat Nav screen. You really don't realize how much you love your car until a weekend like that. Can't wait for our next trip.
Cheers.
