She got the puddle lights from the factory, as well as nav, cargo tray, aero roof rack, auto dimming rear view mirror, and the rear bumper cover. So far she ordered the front bumper underguard, all-weather floor mats, and a cargo net from SubaruGenuineParts.com. My gift to her for the car is a K&N drop in filter.
Something that I found and really like is the body side molding, shown here:

She's still undecided on the molding. Got to give her some time I guess, she hasn't even taken delivery on the car yet...Saturday is the day.
She's also mentioned tinting the front windows to match and a set of wheels.

So SusierooB9 is the lady friend you mentioned in another thread. Shoulda picked up on that from your reply to her in this one. :D

The molding looks good and would be practical to protect against door dings, etc. I didn't know that was available. I just emailed carworx to find out more.

Well today we picked up the car. Everything went well except it has been raining all day, so when we were there we did just a quick exterior and interior overview, but didn't look under the hood. Once we got home and I popped the hood, I noticed two things. First of all, on the engine cover, the chrome Subaru emblem and 3.0 Boxer plate seem to be all scratched up and overall in pretty ugly shape. Not the way you would expect a new car to look. Next issue I noticed was that on the black plastic radiator shroud, it seems that a mechanic left his tools on it, so it is all scuffed up and a little scratched.
Any one else have a issue with the chrome on the engine cover? What do you guys think we should do? I want to take it back to the dealer to have it replaced but I want to see if any one else had this problem as well.

BTW...pics soon!

Mine was unscratched. Taking it back to the dealer seems like the thing to do - and keep their work ethics in mind for future dealings with them. I bet someone had it turned face down on a concrete floor..

I would also wonder WHY they were working under the hood. Something must have not been right from the factory. I think that I'd want to know what that was...

Your exactly right...it looks like it was placed on the floor unside down. Not a HUGE deal but I'm so picky that I spot those kind of things right away. It doesn't seem to bother her so we'll see what happens.
First off...I installed a K&N air filter in for her. Can't say there is any difference since we're not taking it over 3000k for the first 1000 miles.
Now the pictures....

Welcome and congrats on the new B9 :)

Where can one get the side molding? I like the look w/o it but I like door dings even less. Details please ;)

Cool thanks I need to check it out, I was able to get a scan of the install and it does not seem that hard. I may get some silver ones.

Sorry for the hijack, very nice shots of your new B9. I'm not sure you have it yet but you may want to rethink the bumper underguard. I installed one and it's just OK but quite a bit of money for what it is:

I consider it kind of a sacrifical part, if you scrape the heck out if it for some reason it will be a heck of a lot easier to swap out VS the whole bumper I guess. How does it look on the white? On silver it looks just fine.
