Thanks for the link. It seemed like most of those postings were about removing the warning labels from vinyl visors. I tried some of the suggestions and they didn't work for me on the cloth visor in the Tribeca. It seems to be on there so good I can't even peel up a corner to remove it. I didn't want to keep digging on it for fear it would snag and/or damage the material.
So I'm still open to suggestions or anyone else's success stories. I'd like to remove it ASAP so as to avoid any noticeable fading from the rest of the visor.
Eh, I've left them on my past/current cars. I tried peeling them off my first car, left that residue and eventually turned brown cuz the goo is still slightly tacky and the dust in the air stuck to it. Looked way worse than any fading or just leaving the sticker.
My advice...leave the sticker
If you really wanna pull it off for whatever reason, I'd use an knife to peel it off. Then would try some upholstery cleaner and a stiff brush to get the goo off.
edit: btw...Legacy's have the same cloth visor we have in the Tribeca, they're not vinyl, it's pretty clear in the pics shown in the linked thread. Vinyl would be better, wouldn't have to worry about scrubbing the goo off vinyl/plastic surfaces as opposed to cloth.
I think this would be an excellent place to install cigarette lighter outlets for the rear passengers. My friend's Cayanne has them there and I think it would be a logical spot.
Does the AC control panel pop off without a hassle? I can't seem to find much reference to it in the FSM.
Did the Tribeca ever get this feature added? It's one that my wife really misses from her previous vehicle and I figured if it was added in later model years that it might be a simple swap. I know 2010+ Premium Legacy/Outback models and 2012+ Premium Imprezas got it. Probably goes for the new...
2007 Tribecca B9 and all windows work except for Driver's side. I was just going to replace the window switch as a guess, until I found out its $115 for a switch!
Can anyone give me some clues to how to tell if its the motor or the switch? maybe a jump the switch somehow?
Does anyone know what the easiest way to get at the driver's side HVAC mix actuator? Mine isn't working correctly, the driver's side often blows much warmer air than the passenger's and if I listen closely when adjusting temp I can hear a clicking.
Anyways, pulled off the panel below the...
Has anyone seen this issue repaired?
I have read the FSM, have started a thread years ago, swapped panels, done testing. Here's a good place to comment on that revolving door of guesswork. I've also had a handful of people message me privately with the same issue but none have ever responded...
