Help, need help locating a correct ABS sensor for a 08 Subaru tribecca

I have a 08 Subaru tribecca with a bad drivers side front ABS sensor, code 55 on the dash, I purchased what I believed to be the correct part, and after my mechanic went to install it did not match what was currently in it and would not fit, I have been on numerous auto part sites and everything shows the same abs sensor I purchased but its not the right one, has anyone come across this issue? Or have any suggestions? I have already reached out to my local Subaru dealer and still waiting but my car is due for inspection and I have another appointment soon for the abs repair but I need the correct sensor and I am trying to avoid buying a whole hub when all I need is the sensor, please look at the photo to see what I have vs. the new one that was not a correct fit

The replacement part is correct. The old sensor has been eaten through part of the way by the distorted dust shield on the axle. That actually must have been the reason for setting the code in the first place. The dust shield was pushed away from the CV housing and towards the hub because of rust-jacking. Exact same thing happened on my 2006 B9, on the left front. The dust shield simply needs to be lightly hammered in all around in order to restore the correct clearance from the sensor.
