I’ve only seen one tribeca IRL and I think you know which one
Alright, let me in on this one. :)
Some years ago, I test drove a 2012 model with cloth seats and no sunroof.

USA?
cool... so... at least somebody has seen this unicorn :D
Is this a serious question?

Look at the SE. I have one. I didn't want to pay for a useless 3rd row or nav.

not sure what is "SE", but looks like you do not see difference between 3rd row seats, navigation or sunroof... which is funny :D

anyway - if you have one - and it is not too much trouble - can you make some pictures?
SE means Special Edition. It is a trim level between Base and Limited. It has leather, no nav, standard 6-cd stereo (not the Harmon Kardon), no sunroof.

I don't know what's funny about a trim level.
I so wish I had the SE version. Never use the sun roof and all it does is add weight which is bad, and it's weight that is up high which is even worse. Never heard of this trim until now. Was that trim level available on the 1st. gen?

I don't think it was available on the 1st. Subaru introduced it to generate sales. I bought mine during the Federal cash-for-clunkers program, so I got somewhere around $3,500 trade-in-value for my "clunker" and a ridiculous deal on the Tribeca, somewhere in the mid 20s, because nobody was buying Tribecas. My wife has an '11 Forester with a sunroof and it's terrific for the 1-2 weeks out of the year we go to the Adirondacks, if we take hers instead of mine. Otherwise, her sunroof is never used. BTW, we paid substantially more for her Forester, and it's way less nice. I use a TomTom for navigation. The multi-CD in-dash stereo is very good despite it not being the Harman Kardon model. There's a built-in subwoofer in the back. The SE included a choice of 5 or 7 passenger.

@tribeca09 funny part: say - mine is 3row, no nav, no harman cardon, cd changer(I think I don't even have subwoofer) - but it has sunroof. so - all those "I don't wanna pay for" - is the same. it could have been 5seater as you said it yourself. :D (I guess mine is limited).
I recently got a 09 that I’m bringing back from the almost dead. No 3rd or sunroof just how I wanted it.
