Hello everyone,

We are planning on picking up our new '08 7-pass Limited in JAN. It doesn't have NAV or DVD, so I would like to buy a Garmin portable GPS.

I was going to order the Sirius or XM Sat Radio kit and I wanted to ask if it is possible to integrate the Sat Radio with a portable GPS for the purposes of real-time traffic, etc. Has anyone done this???

Thanks!

I have a Garmin Nuvi 350 and I'm pretty sure I can't link a Satellite unit through it.

After further research over at the Garmin site, it looks like they have some units that work with XM satellite radio for traffic info.

They also have units that use MSN Direct and FM TMC Traffic. Anyone have any experience with any of these traffic services????

Thanks!

Not I, but I also don't need another monthly expense. I only use the Garmin on long trips or somewhere I'm unfamiliar with. Other then that, it stays at home.

The Garmins can take them, with additional hardware for some (my 350 is capable) I believe, but as MM mentioned, at an additional monthly.

I, too, am interested in the traffic services, their worth, and accuracy.
