Forester to B9

Howdy,

Looks like the wife and I are set on getting a B9. We needed a bit more space (currently have '99 Forester) with baby #2 on the way.

It came down to the Acura MDX and the Subie. Besides my soft spot for Subies we could not beat the features for the price. We are also working out a deal through the VIP program.

Anyway, this is what we want to get. Hopefully it will all go down this week.

- 7 passenger Limited
- Seacrest Green with gray leather (wife, I'm OK with it)
- DVD and Nav (why not?)
- Maybe the towing package while we're at it

I'll post some shots when it all happens.

Make sure you get the 7 passenger model! You will need it when you start hauling your kids friends around as well. Oh yeah, the DVD is a MUST! You'll be surprised how quite things are when the kids are entertained!

The puddle lights are a cool feature and are cheap enough where they are pretty much an impulse buy.

I also recommend the nav system, especially if you get stuck sitting in the car with the kids while the wife runs into a store or whatever. When your parking brake is set, you can see the DVD movie on the nav screen as well so you are entertained too (unless its "The Wiggles" or something like that!).

Congrats on the upcoming kid!
Thanks guys  .

I found out today that I am getting VIP pricing for the car (invoice). Also, I get the accessories at invoice :D . With that in mind I asked the dealer to find me a 7 pass Limited in Green with DVD, Nav, all wx mats, towing package (I need it for rack attachements, trans cooler is nice), cargo net, cargo cover.

I may ask for the puddle lights for S&G. My Mini has them and they look cool.

Are you sure on the green? Check out ATlantic Blue Pearl. Its their best color for '06, especially in person!

I'm a silver guy myself. We already have a silver Camry and a dark silver Mini Cooper S. Like the B9 itself, I think the green is different....and that's a big reason why we like it. We did see all the colors in person and I did like the blue. I also liked the dark red/brownish color which is not my usual taste.

The dealer has my requests for options. I'm waiting for a call back.

Here's my MCS and Subaru for fun:
