first off im sorry for the dumb question.... im trying to save money and do this tranny fluid change myself... does anyone have a pic they can post or describe what exactly to look for? i have a 06 b9 thanks in advance

It is past the oil filter, past the engine oil pan, differential with big torx 70 bolt.

It looks like engine oil pan with size 8mm hex bolt (driver side of the car).

Make sure you get a new gasket for the bolt, it cost about $1.

It is nice to have a torque wrench for the drain bolt, 20Nm.


Oh...you need deep narrow funnel. I also used additional funnel to hold above the narrow one to prevent spills.

That's odd. From the manual, I assume? My B9 is 5 years old with 117k miles, seems like a good idea.
Another topic, I was planning to use Mobil One synthetic tranny fluid.
