I noticed a bubble in the front driver's side tire of my 06 b9 tonight. I know I've got to replace this tire and ASAP, and since the tires on this truck are original from the factory, I am now willing to replace all four of them. My question is... what's a good mid-range make and product for this truck? I want to take care of my first Subie (it's definitely the nicest car I've ever owned), but I'm unwilling to spend 230+ X four on the tires right now. I just can't put my money in that direction.

Any suggestions on sensible, weather-performing tires for Southern New England? Should I stick with the Goodyear Eagle and beg my local dealer to fit me in tomorrow?

Thanks in advance!

A large bubble in the sidewall means a cord has broken. Do not drive on it.

The continental extreme contact is a good tire in your price range.
