Hi,

Has anyone tried to install Kenwood KCA-BT100 bluetooth module (http://www.kenwoodusa.com/products/ListProduct.aspx?k1=2&k2=19&k3=58&pr=2606) in Tribeca 06 with Navi? Even though Tribeca touch panel unit FGZ000UF2 from Kenwood is not listed in the compatibility list at http://www.kenwood.com/bt/bt100/en.html
I think it should work with our touch panels. Any thoughts?

I'm not sure I follow you... are you asking if this can be hooked up to the nav system and so you can use the touch screen?

Read the discription its only compatible with Kenwood decks. If you look at the pic its got a bus cable on it.

The only way to do any aftermarket stuff on the stereo is to compleatly replace it which is next to imposible as the AC controls are routed through the factory deck. My plan is to just leave the factoy stuff pluged in and move it down in the center counsel to get it out of the way and do a custom fiberglass panel alowing me to put a double din stereo instal and put a basic aftermarket display in one that will display the car info and just replace the top screen with a regular screen for a DVD player.
Yes, I want to connect kenwood bluetooth module (further BTM) KCA-BT100 to Tribeca Head Unit (further HU) which is in fact a Kenwood deck (FGZ000UF2) and use the touch panel to control the first as it was intended to be used. I've read all the descriptions for both units. I know it is a long shot but I think it is possible.

I've read somewhere that our HU Kenwood FGZ000UF2 is analogue of Kenwood DDX7015. I'm aware that Subaru HU doesn't have 13-pin din CD changer input that is required to hook up the BTM. Well, actually it has that port but it's used to connect the NAVI DVD (see image attached). I think I can assemble 13-din port by hacking into the correct pins on the HU provided I have access to the diagrams/schematics of Bluetooth KCA-BT100 which I can't find anywhere. I need to know what is expected by BTM on each pin. I have the service manual with diagrams for the HU though.

Versa, can you send me a copy of the schematic for the factory head unit need to further tap it for some amps. And can't find the correct leads for it.

Also woundering how the factory deck hooks up with the factory XM interface. I don't want to spend the 400 bucks for the factory add on but realy want xm was woundering if the kenwood version would work.

You can download the service manual for HU at http://files.l33t.net.au/servicemanuals/FGZ000UF2_Service_Manual.pdf
Bump! I just got a new loaded 07 b9. I would love to be able to connect the ipod (KCA-iP500 iPod) and bluetooth (KCA-BT100) modules.
I see that Kenwood offers and aux splitter to allow both the Nav and the bluetooth module to be connected. This should work.

Well, does it work?

So, does it?

Surely SOMEBODY must have some info on this?
Aftermarket Speakers

Has anyone upgraded the factory speakers yet? I was considering doing it to try and get some better high-frequency reproduction and a little more "gut" in the mid-level and bass range. I have looked on Crutchfield.com and noticed that with some modification it is possible to put a 6.5" speaker in the factory spot for front and rear doors. It seems (according to Crutchfield) that only a shallow-dept 6.5" will fit in the front doors. Does anyone have any experience with this yet?

Thanks,

MR
Hi all, I'm new here and just looking at refreshing this thread as I was wondering if anyone has gotten either the Kenwood ipod (KCA-iP500 iPod) or bluetooth (KCA-BT100) modules connected to a factory navigation head unit?

dave
bump. Anyone successfully got a bluetooth mod done?
