Blower replaced with CX9 unit

After my front blower/fan died I was quoted $380 Australian for a new non-genuin unit and more for genuine.
Some searching found the unit is identical to that fitted to the Mazda CX9 which I could get for $69.
Bought it, fitted it, very happy.

Do you recall what year Mazda, CX nine you used? You have any other identifiers.

I need a blower is Mine is sporadic?

thanks

good question - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mazda_CX-9 - this says that there were two generations of cx-9... (I thought there was just one)

The Tribeca unit is cross-referenced to multiple OE numbers from different manufacturers, not just Mazda but also Chrysler/Jeep, Toyota, Honda/Acura, Ford, and perhaps others. RockAuto is a good source for such information, for example:
list of OE numbers for an aftermarket part
All of this matters only if you insist of buying an OE-specification motor cheaper than what a Subaru brand will cost. Otherwise, the prices at RockAuto start at about $35 + shipping.
