Aux Input?

Hey everyone, I was just wondering about where the Aux button was directed to. I saw some images of an auxilary input that was found in what would be the third row of the Tribeca, next to the cigarette lighter charger. Unfortunately, I do not have one with my tribeca =(. I was wondering about how I would be able to make the Aux button on my stereo functional so that I would be able to connect my mp3 player to my stereo through auxilary.

My second option was to get someone to install an FM modulator so that I would be able to have a direct input to my stereo from my mp3 player, but I'd really like to make it so that the Auxilary input is functional.

If you had waited for the '07, you would've gotten the center access MP3 player plug standard...

However, the good news is that POSSIBLY, Subaru might have a way to add this to your '06. If not, i guess you could upgrade your stereo to the one on the '07 and be sure to get the MP3 port as well. Look into it when the '07's are in dealerships.
Eh, I have no regrets. I'll just find a way to get an MP3 hook up. Sure, the 07 model may have a lot of great stuff... but aside from the MP3 hook up, everything else is added to the price. I was already over my personal limit with my 06.

Thanks for your help.
Does anyone know what the stock radio looks like from behind? Are there any auxilary inputs there that are available? Does anyone have any pictures of the stock radio of the b9?
It can be done i tested it tonight on my 06 and had my Xm radio plaing out of the factory stereo using the RSE AUX button
If you strip down a 3.5 mini jack plug you will find 3 wires inside one for power and a left and a right channel the power is red and the other two doesn't matter
if you pull your radio and look at the plug on the top right side you will push the red wire into the empty hole next ro the last wire on the bottom row
that will allow you to switch to RSE on the radio
next you will need to skip on ehole on the bottom and then plug in the next two wired in the next two empty holes this will give you stereo sound
You can wither run the cable under the console and into the center armrest and poke out the cut out and drill a hole for an mp3 player or you can run two wires like me one for the ipod in the console and then one will come out the top of the dash where the NAV screen is for my xm radio
I will actually install this this weekend and i'll let you know how it goes

You should go check out this site
i explained it a little better and a fellow board member there said he was going to do a step by step guide with pics
when i did my install my camera was dead so no pics

I'm planning to build an adapter cable for my car and iPod Video, but I need to know where I can get +12VDC from the factory head unit. Anyone have any ideas?

I'm trying to build a single charger/line out cable. I have everything I need except for how to get power from the head unit. I even found a place that you can buy the ipod 30-pin connectors.
