Hi guys,

Just came over to show you this new Chinese head unit that I bought to replace the original one. It really worth it. It's pricey, U$ 550 + import fees, but the driving experience goes to another level with Android Auto, and the sound quality is better too.

BTW, everything works through the auxiliary audio port, but hey, you can't really tell the difference.

does it really show original TPMS sensors all separately?
does carplay work?
I believe that the TPMS compatible with the unit is aftermarket as well. It's not the original one that comes with the Tribeca.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S10+, so I know for sure that Android Auto works, but it says it works with Carplay too, so I think that Carplay works just as Android Auto.

So many questions.
1. Do the steering wheel controls work?
2. Any problems with the climate controls?
3. Are you able to have your fuel economy readout anywhere?
4. Is there a maintenance reminder?
5. Are you able to still use the CD player? Radio? Any loss of other audio functions?

It looks great, really modernizes the Tribeca!

1 - yes, the steering wheel controls work, but we have to peel off some wires and connect them manually;

2 - the climate controls work good;

3 - the fuel economy display stays in a specific menu, it's not anywhere and can't be moved where we want;

4 - I'm not aware of maintenance reminder;

5 - no loss of functions, yes CD and radio work fine.

Everything works through the auxiliary port and the quality of the sound is better too.

for 3k - they need to take me to bahamas for couple of years :D all inclusive :D

teyes (in maximum configuration) is what - like 500-600usd/eur? + installation.

p.s. I am sure that on ebay broken screen can be replaced for FAR less than 3k. just yesterday in Russia - color screen (for NAVI) was for about 120-150eur/usd...
