I just bought an 06 b9 and it has a hard miss on cyl 1. I replaced the plug because someone had put honda plugs in it and I swapped the coils around and it came back cyl 1 miss again! So I tested power to the injector while running and it is firing, I stethoscoped the injector and it was clicking... I even tested the red/yellow wire from the ecu and it has power...
The 2 most common cause for hard miss (once the easy things have been ruled out) is either the ECU not firing the spark (sounds you already know this is okay) or valve trouble. Sounds like the later. It happens, but its not that common.
Well theres no popping out of the intake or exhaust... so I don't see how it could be a valve... but for some reason Im feeling like even though its not the coil that Im still not getting fire to the coil... I got a steady 14v while running but I didn't see any pulsating...
OK IM pissed! The guy in the post I was referred to said he took his car to the dealer and they programmed it. I just called the dealer and they said you can NOT rewrite the VIN to a used ECU. That I just waisted my money!
wow - very good news, thanks so much for the follow up.
