Default Has anyone upgraded the audio in the Limited version?

I would like a bit more punch in the mids and perhaps more bass. I went to a car Audio place and said that I was basically suck with wha I have.

Has anyone upgraded and if so - what did you do?

Thanks in advance!

You can always add a sub-woofer sold as an accessory. It installs under one of the front seats.

I've managed to pull the stock subwoofer out and hook up a line converter, I've put a little 8" kenwood subwoofer and a little crappy 400w amp in it. it sounds alright. definitely sounds much better. next i'm looking into replacing all the door speakers and tweeters, then i'll decide if I need to run a 4 channel amp to power them after the upgrade

I ran a JL 4 channel audio amplifier with line-level inputs on it inline with the factory system. It really added a lot of everything to the sound. I'd still like to replace the factory sub with something more beefy eventually, but the 50x4 RMS really improved the factory system quite a bit.

I got a breakout harness from Subaru radio and radio wiring harness information - the guy custom builds them to your specifications and they make it so you don't have to cut the factory harness.

The other thing to improve sound is to improve sound deadening, which the Tribeca really lacks.

what were you able to get this guy to all do for your tribeca? i'm emailing him and hoping he can give me rca out for a real amp and sub woofer and allow me to wire in a real backup camera. ideally let me swap out my head unit but i dont think thats realistic.
