weird light?

I have this weird red light up by the controls to the moonroof and the map lights. It turns on when I turn on the headlights. I'm not quite sure what it is and I couldn't find anything in the manual. Anybody have any ideas, and should I be worried?

No need to worry...it's an "ambient" interior LED light. If you look down at the shifter, you will notice it provides a subtle glow on the center console. Lots of more upscale cars come with these now.
