Just received a "special offer" letter from Subaru North America 7/15/08 with 4 years/60K for $564.00 or 4 years/80K for 935.00 I've called and asked about Gold version and rep told me that it is available only through Dealer??? that's interesting i got a 100K mile warranty from the dealer for free when I bought my car on May 1, 2008.

I think it was a perk from a dealer to "moove" cars from the lot. In this state of economy buyer has leverage.
