Today while driving the check engine light, stability control light, and cruise control light all turned on(cruise light blinked on and off continuously). Vehicle still drives normally. It is going to be looked at tomorrow morning at dealer. I'll post results.

Due to the drive by wire system all those things flash now when you get a cel :( Let us know what they say. The stability control light makes me think it's ABS related somehow.

I have the same problem with my Tribeca. It went away later in the day, but is back today. This time my ABS light is on as well and sometimes er 55 or er SS on the trip meter. The trip mileage will usually return after the car is turned off and back on but the other lights will stay on for a while. Any word from the dealer on what caused this problem on your car? Googled the er 55 and someone else had the same problem and it was a 5 day keep replacing parts and sensors at the dealer ordeal.

After 3 days and 2 trips to the dealer, my check engine light, ABS, blinking cruise control and ER SS seem to be finally banished. On the first trip to the dealer they said it was a loose connection, but on the 2nd trip they replaced a wheel speed sensor.

Bummer it took so long, I suppose since it's a new model diagnosing can take a little longer. Glad you got it all sorted out though.

Looks like the same symptoms are happening to me.
I was just driving and all of a sudden it felt like it wasn't shifting properly, getting a CEL, cruise control kept flashing and the engine stability light was flashing. I'll get it checked it asap and post results back here.
Hope it's nothing serious.

My wife and I have experienced the same thing two times this week. I posted a separate thread in the drive train area of this site. We were driving down the road today (up a hill) and the engine just revved and it felt like it just slipped out of gear. The anti-sway, cruise and check engine lights came on. I coasted to the shoulder, turned off and turned back on. Check engine, cruise blinking and ant-sway were on but the vehicle drove fine. Very frustrating!

I just had the same thing happen, and took it in today. (good timing, as my service was due to). They didn't give me the specific code, but they told me it was due to... wait for it... a loose gas cap! They said that if the cap is a little loose, it will affect the system, but not neccesarily right away. Anyone else hear or get told of this? (It is gone, now, BTW)
Think I'll check that first next time the CEL comes on again.
Cheers!

Had mine turn on yesterday, check engine, traction control and flashing cruise.
I guess the concensus is it could be different causes. I'll go out and tighten the gas cap though just in case.
Going to dealer for next service this week so they can check this out too along with my rattling rear lift gate.

update:
After driving two separate trips for about 15 miles the lights went out. only thing I did was tighten the gas cap. Heve not made it to the dealer yet. So assumably mine was casued by the gas cap.
I beleive it takes like 2-3 cycles of driving to reset the CEL.

Thanks Eveyone!
My wife just called and said that the same thing was happening to our 06. We'll try the gas cap and report back.

i had the same problem on mine, dont worry about it, i think it had something to do with a swith or my gas cap being lose, it was something really stupid and there was nothing wrong with the car

Last night, similar thing happened..
- Solid Check Engine Light
- Flashing Cruise Control Light
- Solid Traction Control Off Light
- Flashing Low Fuel Light
- Fuel Tank showing completely empty
Anyone experience this light sequence with the Low Fuel light? I've driven about 100 miles on this tank of gas so I know it's not empty. I've driven this 100 miles over a course of a week. If the gas cap was loose, why take so long to trigger warning lights?
Tried calling the stealership and they're not picking up...

Drove for a while and the gas light went off and the fuel gauge started working again but other lights stayed on. Ran into the store, got back in and gas light issue came back. Drove home after this, shut 'beca off, started and gas light went off and others persisted.

Update:
100+ miles and no change. Combination of a buch of small trips and multiple checks on the gas cap, but all lights still on. Some hesitation on hills at times to (of couse only when my wife is driving).
Dealer visit scheduled this week, we'll see what they have to say.

I've had the situation with all the dash warning lights coming on as described above. But my main driving symptom was an intermittent lack of power, especially going up hills. It continued to get worse on a trip (average speed was 45mph and uphill was about 25mph). A second dealer identified the problem was with the catalytic converters. Replacing them solved the power issue and the blinking lights.
FYI that the service folks did say that when the check engine light comes on, the other lights come on and blink because those features become disabled. He called it a "limp mode" which is limited functionality so you can make it back for service. I've heard a loose gas cap will cause the check engine light to come on. Perhaps with a Subi, some "check engine" conditions activate the limp mode indicators, even though the car drives OK.

We are going threw this now. Same thing check engine light solid, traction control light solid, cruise control light blinking, solid ABS light and er ss. I googled it and found that it's a wheel speed sensor. So I have an appointment tomorrow at the dealer. Ill let everyone know what I find out.

Sorry for the delay on my original post but sure enough it was the gas cap. It took a few miles and 2 fill ups but the issue went away and has never come back.
Make sure that the cap is on really tight and drive it for a while.
Weird stuff but it worked for me.

This happenned for the first time to us today on a short trip. Came here first, and I see the gas cap should be the first thing to try. We are about halfway through a tank of gas and our fillup was at a gas station that neither of us had ever used before. I'll fill up at a trusted location (and throw some Sea Foam in at the same time) and crank the gas cap past clicking. Hope it takes care of it.
Our '01 Outback flat-4 had check engine light issues sporatically, and we narrowed it down to fillups from 1 specific gas station. We quit using that location, and the C.E. light issue went away.

quick update dealer said the wheel speed sensor is dead on the front passenger wheel. It was not in stock ordering a new one.

Good gas from a station that hasn't been a problem before- not fixed
checked air pressure on all 4 tires- not fixed
No "erSS" or "erLL" code; looks like I'm headed to the dealer tomorrow.

Stopped by the friendly neighborhood Autozone and borrowed a scantool. Got these errors: P0051 "HO2S Bank 2 Sen 1 Heater Circuit Low" and P2099 "Post Catalyst Fuel trim Bank 2 System too Rich". O2 Sensor? Exhaust Temp Sensor? Catalytic Convertor?

Check engine light came back on, and did the scantool/erase sequence again. It came back on almost immediately, so I made an appt at the dealer. Told them the usual "not the gas cap/ used premium fuel/ oil is fine" lines and I will post their results.
If this is a loose plug issue like others have said, I am going to be pissed.

My 06 Tribeca limited has had this same problem at least 10 times. Each time I bring it to dealership but nothing is found and lights are cleared. Have even left it a week on two different occasions. Traction light, cruise light and check engine light on all at the same time. I love this vehicle but now i'm at the point of thinking about getting something else. Please post if anyone finds the definitive answer to what's going on.

For my issue, it was fixed at the dealer. It was an O2 sensor. They switched the correct one, and I haven't had an issue since. I can only speak for my issue, not the wheel sensor or gas issues.
