Hello all,
My older vehicle is a 97 Jetta GT, which is substantially lower in weight vs my 07 Tribeca. I'm looking to upgrade the floor jack and stands from what I currently have (A 2.5 ton floor lift and 2 2ton stands + 2 3ton axel stands). In considering an upgrade, would a 3.5 ton jack lift be enough for the weight of a Tribeca? Any suggestions?

Thanks and cheers in advance.

:)

The curb weight of a Tribeca is about 4,300 lbs. So assuming you don't have it loaded up with dead weight, a 2.5 ton (5,000 lbs) jack & stands should do the trick! If you really want to play it safe, get a 3 ton.
