lift gate won't open

I have a 2006 Tribeca and the lift gate simply won't open. I hear the lock disengage but it just does not budge. I just got back from a week at the ocean, but it worked fine until getting home. Is there something I am missing here?

Did you try pushing on the hatch a little when you push the button? Maybe it's bound up. Should still be under warranty, though.

There should be a manual release hole inside down by the latch. I think there is a little hole cover you need to remove then poke your finger in to flip a lever. Check your owners manual. Nevermind found it for you and made a page:

It won't tell you what's wrong but maybe it will jar something loose that may be jamed.
