Anyone have one of the front under bumper guards? Looks like this here:

From this site:

I have one on the way and was interested in what it looks like underneath. I got a bunch of Subaru Bucks and that was one of the things I used it for.

Do you have one? Can you take a pic? I'm guessing it's pretty much just for looks.

I got a bunch of stuff from UPS the other day, the underguard was one of the things. I had 500 subaru bucks I needed to use so this was pretty much free. And good thing too. It's really just a piece of plastic you stick on the front under spoiler. No way is it worth more than say 20 bucks but was considerably more. I installed it anyway, it looks OK on a silver car but I'm not sure it would look good on any other colour. I'll be doing a scoobymods page soon. I also put in the shock sensor for the alarm and the anti-slip mat for the back cargo area and roof racks. Pages for those too.

Off to change the plugs in my F-XT first ;)

Peaty,
Where do you get Subaru bucks from?

You can get them from using your subaru credit card or sometimes when you get a new car from subaru they give them as an incentive.

Ahh, thanks. I don't think I need another credit card :)

It's just a little pricey (IMO) for a piece of plastic.

That's a 2008 underguard. Looks good on the blue too! I'll eventually buy one for my '07 Tribeca

Yeah, its just a thin piece of plastic that covers the black plastic underneath. I guess the idea is that scratches will be less noticeable.

Are you saying the 08s are backwards compatible?

A Piece of plastic to protect another piece of plastic is kind of lame. What they need here is a mesh protector to cover up this opening as the radiator is extremeley vulnerable to road debris as the image above clearly shows.

Agreed. A mesh protector would be great.

No. I'm not sure of that, but it seems like it might fit. Maybe someone here can answer that question for sure.
