Got the grill mocked up and temporaroly fitted. still need to trim it a little and mount it right.

But here is my question should I paint it black or leave it as is.

My neighber thought that if I leave it I should do the bottom too.

I think you should put the badge back on though. The black color should be nice since your custom grill is much different from the original. See my car with factory grill for reference.

And a custom grill for the bottom would be nice too. Let me know how to mount it when you're done.

Good job man, save a big bucks from the factory grill....

Not a fan of the tight wire mesh. Looks a bit cheap to me - just my opinion. I think the badge might help clean it up.

NICE! You maight want to look into getting factory paint and painting it the same color as the body. Put the badge back on though.

You SHOULD do the bottom too (below the license plate). I wish Subaru offered a genuine part to fill this unprotected spot. Currently, all it takes is for one object to fly up and the unprotected radiator is TOAST! Its like a Death Star design!

I'd be curious to see it in black, might look good. Great job with the grill anyway

I actualy changed it compleatly. I will try and get a pic up before I leave for the dessert. I ordered some honey comb mesh and put the trim back on. It looks realy good.

That honeycomb sounds better. I wasn't feeling the tight mesh. BTW, were those zip ties temporarily holding it down?

Agreed. I know that as soon as we start doing some more highway driving, those fins are gonna be destroyed.

Trim it, badge it, paint it. What branch? USMC retired myself. Get home safe.

I agree, black it out, looks too much like a electric shaver.

If the subie were a lighter color, I'd say go black.

With that though... I say get a flat-silver color (colormatch your wheels?)

I think he chrome reflection is a bit "blingy"... tame the chrome down.

And I agree.... put the badge back on.
