Hellooo SB9T fellows....
Just another week to go to get my new Becky 07..... can't wait though.... you guys are so smart and get a lot ideas though... just a thought.... can I get a custom sidestep for this baby somehow ??? Not sure if there is available mounting on the Becky. I'm not intending to go off road often so... a sidestep would lower the body and make it look nicer from its side.... That would be my fisrt and priority mod for it....
Just jealous with you guys in US though cos it pricies over here ( as well as accessories... ) everything is just double in price...
Anyway, glad to see a good place for Becky and wish you well there....
Vincent
Another Aussie on here, welcome. Where abouts do you live, I'm in Brisbane with a silver Tribeca 5 seat Premium, love the car. Apparently selling well here

Hello mate... thanks for welcome... I'm in Sydney... haven't seen a single one on the street here... although all Subaru dealers are out of B9 stock here ???? that's odd.... may be they all get a long trip to Brisbane after purchase to enjoy the car...

Very nice! Noticed some subtle differences between ours and yours. I like the pedals. Are your brake calipers red?

Thanks man.... yes I managed to paint it though, look better huh ? I may want to put some grill on the front port as well (under the the number plate). There's nothing in there.
There is one big difference is that Aussie model has key and remote control intergrated, not separating into 2 units like US model (hope this becomes standard though ). The sad thing is the key can not be folding down :( like European cars.... They dealer told me Subaru doesn't want to make it that way cos the customer will lose the key easily when folding it down ?????

 Hi
I am sorry to say this as your car is brand new, but unfortunately they put the steering wheel on the wrong side. I am sure your warranty will cover it though.

Hey man, the steering wheel is interchangable ! It means if you are left-handed then just pull out the steering wheel and put it on the other side !!!
Of course this also covers by warranty as well, he he... :D

The Tribeca looks great in black! The chrome accessories and grill look great on it. I've seen that grill on a white Tribeca and I wasn't impressed.
Also...I want your tail lights!

Hey, thanks man, and just share with you guys with the new look of HID version. Don't know what you guys talk about daytime running light... but there is no such thing here in Aussie... just bought the kit off from ebay, took 20 minutes to install... and here it goes.... out of my brightness imagination though.... it's unreal...

Wow that looks amazing! Especially the inside with the blue light. It made the interior more hotter! How did you do that?

Just managed to put the sidestep on.... To me this is a very good solution to get door ding free though...
Sorry for the crappy pics... the garage's not big enough to take a good shot... will have a better one tomorrow when taking her out...

Very nice.. Do you know the part number of the nerf bar? Is it required a special modification to fit the bar?

they look terrific.
Can you tell us which bar you got to fit?
Also- does it affect the ground clearance much?

I bought the bars from Toyota factory, not sure if it's the same model in US, but it's for Toyota RAv4 model 2007. There are not many custom bars here in Aussie so... not many choices though, you guys should have a lot options to choose there.... (just ask Mr Google ...).
The clearrance stays pretty much the same, well about 2 inches lower so it makes the body look lower and nicer though. Of course if you intend to go off road often then it's different story, you may have to modify suspension sytem though. This truck is not for off road seriously.

Do you have pictures underneath the bars? Will you teach us how to make those custom-made brackets? Tim : )

I haven't taken any pic yet but the brackets are custommized by my local shop though. In front, they drilled 2 holes each side on the body and mounted on there. At the back, they made custom brackets and mounted on the towing mount (they had to take original towing brackets out).
Love what your doing to the car, back to the lights though, how did you get that blue look in the cabin, and I'd like to change my front lights as well, what HID kit did you buy, thanks.

Well, ours has a red led that shines down from the roof console to bathe the center console in red. Maybe the Aussie version uses a blue led instead.

I live in Australia too and the LED is red, maybe he changed it to blue, shouldn't be hard to do, hey this rhymes :)

Hey man, thanks for your comment, the bule light is easy to make up though... There are 2 power points in the center console, I just bought to blue lights and plug in there and stick these light through 2 holes available under the console cover. And with the Red light shining from above, it looks dam good though, much better than in the picture.
You can buy HID kit from these guys on ebay :
1. flashplus : free ship from hongkong
2. Aussie seller from Hobart : helen-gg (his contact number is 0423966611, just mention you get the number from Vincent Sydney)
3. Later on I found another guy next to my area selling this kit as well. And he is very nice and helpful though. His ebay ID is http://pics.ebaystatic.com/aw/pics/au/s.gifg-mok (http://myworld.ebay.com.au/g-mok/)
His name is Gerald, mobile at 0404499129, and price is pretty cheap, around $160
I'm using 6000K color kit which has very good light and color though. Don't think higher temp color is better cos it will reduce the brightness though.
Let me know if I can help.
Cheers

I would say I'll stay with current model, no matter what people saying how ugly it is... it's beautiful to me though, and stand out the crowd. The 08 model looks a bit like Hyundai Santa though. The horsepower is easy to be upgraded later though when warranty is over, but it's more than enough for me now...
