Rear Light Question

I noticed only one half of my rear lights light up, not the half thats on the rear tailgate, is that normal, or only on the Australian model.

I am in the US and mine is the same.

The light on the tailgate can be set to operate when the gate is opened, but it will not shut off automatically when the doors are left open for an extended period of time, like all of the other interior ligthts.

I'm talking about the tail lights, only half light up when yyou turn the lights on or brake. The half on the tail gate don't light up at all. I wonder if the bulb holder is fitted but without the bulb. Maybe Tribeca Aussie can look into this for me.

I will check mine after work to see if it does the same thing but I'm pretty sure it all lights up.
