If you get snow in your area like me, then the Goodyear Triple Treds are what you need. I have these on my Beca and they're handle like winter tires.

I know this post is old, but if you're looking at $550 for all four installed, you're really (really) going to be limited in your choices.
TireRack has the Kumho Ecsta STX KL12 for $516
the Sumitomo HTR Sport H/P's for $532
and the Yokohama AVID ENVigor for $560
(+shipping and install)
Guessing if you're looking at $550 max (including install) you're going to have to find an "off brand" (which doesn't necessarily mean a bad tire)
Let us know what you end(ed) up with and how you like them.

Just got these delivered from TireRack yesterday... Yokohama AVID ENVigor.
Will be getting them installed next Saturday, so we'll see how they do!
