I'm finally done with my mods on my '07 Diamond Gray Metallic LTD Navi Chrome Package with all the fixin's

The Main things done were HIDs and painted brake calipers. I'll take some night and day pics once the car is clean. In the mean time... here are my brakes.

Looks cool. How'd you do it?
I'm guessing that it wasn't with a can of red Krylon.

duplicolor caliper paint kit

very easy... once you have the wheels off it takes about an hour. Kit comes with instructions, caliper cleaner, stir stick, tape to mask off the calipers, a brush, and paint(a lot of paint... you could paint 3+ cars with the paint they give you). The hardest part is removing the wheels. It's best if you have access to a lift. The Logos are high temp vinyl stickers i bought online. All in all a very simple mod. BTW... the brakes are not as firetruck red as the pics look. The flash made them come out that way. The red matches the red of the taillights.

Here is the how to video on duplicolor's website:

PS... you don't have to remove the calipers to paint them. The only things i took off were the wheels.

So with the HID headlights....do you have to engage the parking brake slightly to turn off the Daytime running lights or is it ok to leave them on all the time?

I've not into the dash of the vehicle yet... The placement of the DRL Connector is different than in the Legacy. I run with my headlights on all the time. I just use the emergency brake when I park to so that when i turn the car on the DRLs are off. I can then turn on the Headlights before releasing the emergency brake. I plan on getting into the guts pretty soon. I'll report back what I find.

They flicker... and you can ruin a bulb and/or a fuse. If the emergency brake is on... it turns off the DRLs. Just get used to setting the emergency brake when you park. Or you can leave your headlights on all the time... It's bad for the bulbs to start them up when you crank the engine. I have a set in my Leggy that has been started that way every day for over a year and they are fine.

Thanks... Next I will take some night pics... and some pics when it's sunny. Diamond Gray looks amazing in the sun when it's clean.

Awesome... 20s look great on the Tribeca. I would have gone with Chrome 20s or Gunmetal with a Polished lip if I planned on keeping the Tribeca for awhile. Who knows... I still may do it.

Take some pics when you get the chance... you may sway me.
