I got my B-ca a year and a half ago from a lease return. I had the ECU reflash couple of months ago and complete transmission flush last week. Still my B-ca prematurely jump to 3rd gear causing it to jitter or fell this kick effect. It does not happen all the time most the time the car runs smoothly.

Also, during the decel and/or approaching stop somethimes I feel this shudder effect like forcing to pull the gear to stop from 2nd and hearing this "thug!" sound. It does not happen all the time and cannot fortell when it will happen again. Noticed this during long day drive. WHen it happens and park the car for couple of weeks and start driving it goes away. I dont know what causing this things.

Any advise and help will be highly appreciated.

Jeff

First off, how many miles on the car? Second when you say transmission flush was done, who performed it and what fluid was used? Any fluid other than the New Subaru fluid will make the transmission shift wrong. Some dealers still don't stock the right fluid even though all model year 2005 and up require it. :( Technically the 4 speeds really don't need it and standard dexron is fine but our shop only uses what meets the specification listed by the manufactures. One of my suppliers paperwork states their fluid meets all Subaru specs but my wife's B9 did not shift right after the service at 30,000. We did a complete fluid change with the correct fluid to correct the condition.

Thanks for your quick reply. My B9 has already 90T km and Subaru Langley BC did my complete transmission fluid flush but no idea what brand of fluid they've used. I'll call them tomorrow and find out.
