clicking throttle

when ever i touch the gas there is a like an electronic-y clicking noise. i dont really know how to describe it but it kinda scares me. it the throttle broken? could it malfunction and like floor it?

Describe what you mean by touching the gas, speed of the car during, year of the car, can you reproduce it... Cant think of other questions, but right now, its a bit hard to help with the info you gave.
