I have a choice between a 2006 Subaru Tribeca Limited 7 Passenger Leather with 68K Miles on it for $15000 or one with 33K Miles on it for $17500 .... the only differences are the one with 68K miles on it has a DVD player and tow package and is a private party and the other one with 33K miles on it is at a Subaru dealer ( but not certified ) .... which would you choose ? Should I be concerned about the higher milage of the 68K one ?
Thanks,
J

I wouldn't be concerned about the higher mileage on the other one if it was by itself, but if I had the same two to choose from I'd go lower miles every day of the week.

I agree, the other question would be was the previous owner actually towing anything. That would make the higher mileage even worse. Go with the lower mileage.

Go with the lower mileage. That way you are still eligible for the extended warranty as long as you buy it before 36k miles. But also check the inception date just incase that lapsed the original bumper to bumper.

While the DVD player is nice, its not anything terribly special these days that you couldn't get around.
The tow package is cake to install yourself. I think I got mine for $300 new with trans cooler if memory serves. Install probably took 45min and was straight forward.
As others have pointed out.. the 33k would let you get the Subaru warranty, which you can shop around the net to get the best price(any subaru dealer can sell it to you).
That mileage difference is like 2yrs of normal driving.... Just doesn't seem worth the $2500 your saving.
I'd get the lower mileage one only because it's like HALF the mileage of the other one.

yeah go with lower b/c if your getting the same options minus the dvd for a couple thousand more..its seems like a better deal
