This vehicle looks like it was kept in great condition. Is 19k too much for a 06 since we are about to hit 2010? It has the Nav, DVD, 7 row, leather, puddle lights, roof rack, etc. No hitch and no rear camera. It's also out of warranty and I'm a little concerned about the dogbone brace at the firewall as well as the urethane bushing at the sway bar... although I should say that there is no indication of them going bad at this point. The only other real drawback is no aux. jack although the DVD jack works.
So what do you guys think? Look at an 07 or get a better price.

I think unless you're getting a killer deal, get an 07.

Neither. $19k is a decent price for a rig from that year, with those options, and with that many miles. In other words, great find. Here's my reasoning:
"Cash for Clunkers" cleaned out almost all low-dollar used vehicles, because people would go into dealers with their POS and for one reason or another wouldn't qualify. They then turned to the cheapest used cars on the lot as a second option. This elimination of low-end used car inventory has caused all other used car prices to actually RISE in the last month or two.
That, combined with the fact that we're going into winter, means that 4wd and AWD used vehicles will be a bit more expensive for a few more months to come.
The auxiliary port option is available on an '06, except you have to put it in yourself. There's a fan-damn-tastic walkthrough on this board that shows you how to set it all up. It will take about two hours if you're handy, up to four if you're not.
I think you've found a great deal, actually.

Oh, and when you buy it, take the roof rack off and mail it to me :)

I ended up passing on it. I'm hoping more 07's come out of lease in the next month or so.

I have been checking craigslist. I would prefer to buy from an original owner over a dealer, but it seems that dealers are snatching them all up. Autotrader and Cars.com appear to be exclusively dealer now.

yeah dealers are, you can do this knew thing fro cragislist where you type in google; search all of craigslist and click one of the top links and you can search all of whatever you want on the site everywhere, so you can put Subaru Tribeca and then catagory by owner only, and possibly get more results but may be far or not to far away, good luck
