I had stopped at a local Subie dealer in Atlanta recently who claimed that the '10 Tribeca was getting a 4-inch stretch, and then a full redesign in '11.
I found it highly doubtful that Subaru would make a length change just before a full redesign, though a stretch would be welcome for rear-seat passengers.
Any rumors on the '11 model?

The lines between Forester/Outback/Tribeca are a little fuzzy in the '09 lineup as far as vehicle needs go. If you are going to have a stripped number of offerings (which I like) make sure there isn't a lot of overlap. In my opinion, they should either drop the Tribeca from their lineup, or increase the length to make it a comfortable 3-row vehicle. The '09 Outback is now wider and taller relative to its old size, and the next Tribeca should also be a bit bigger to differentiate itself from it. I think the Forester should have kept it's smaller proportion (great sized vehicle) and the Outback made a wise move increasing width and height.
Oh yeah; a $49k+ subie? OUCH. Good luck with that. There are too many offerings in that realm to compete.

canadian market has higher prices. US price should stay closer to what we paid before. Tribeca isn't hottest vehicle in Subaru's lineup, and new Outback probably does not help Tribeca's sales figures to grow.

its a an article from canada..it wont be that much lol and i dont think they would drop it but if they have those options like back up cam standard like in the canada article it should do better, ofcourse it will need to grow b/c the new outback is bigger and pretty popular, 2 people in my small town in ny have them and subarus are not that popular in my town but they have been coming around more and more

Scroll down the following Subaru 2010 brochure to see the list of features -- for the most part as reported in that Canadian article.
I'm planning to install an Azentek Smartmirror all-in-one bluetooth/navi/backup camera on my SE this fall/winter, and once done I'll post some information here unless somebody else does it sooner.

I don't know if they will go ahead with the redesign in 2011. I think they might drop the tribeca from their lineup. Its not selling well at all. Look at the sales number for the last year or so.

SOA announces:
Subaru of America, Inc. today announced pricing on the 2010MY Subaru Tribeca 3.6R models.
“Subaru is pleased to announce new product enhancements that continue to create value for the Tribeca product line,” said Tom Doll, executive vice president and COO, Subaru of America, Inc. “Tribeca offers a better driving experience and is a vehicle that is not only safe and fun to drive, with its 6-cylinder boxer engine, but also represents a tremendous value in its segment.”
The Tribeca is the largest model in the company’s line-up, a line-up which has been completely refreshed within the last two years. The company has enjoyed sales success with its new 2010 Legacy and Outback models, was the only full-line manufacturer to post a sales increase in 2008 and continues to be one of the few to do so for 2009, posting an all-time sales record in August.
The 2010 Tribeca models, arriving at dealerships (http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1733708&page=14#) soon, have more interior flexibility, newer technology and top safety ratings which the company is known for in the industry.
The Tribeca 3.6R adds option packages this year, similar to the all-new 2010 Legacy and Outback models - helping dealers tailor vehicles to better suit their customers’ needs. Subaru has also added a new, top-of-the-line Touring model, with new styling and technological features standard.
Subaru continues its relationship with audio specialists harmon/kardon® by offering a 10-speaker, 385-watt sound system standard on many models. Connectivity and safety continue to be top of mind as well, with a new Bluetooth hands-free phone module added as standard equipment on Limited & Touring models. The backup camera is now offered as an option on non-navigation Limited & Touring models with a 3.5″ display mounted on an auto-dimming rearview mirror.
Tribeca Model Highlights:
The Tribeca 3.6R Premium has a base MSRP of $30,495. This is $500 less than the starting price of the 2009MY seven-passenger model and is well-equipped with a 256 horsepower (http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1733708&page=14#) 6-cylinder SUBARU BOXER® engine, 5-speed automatic transmission with SPORTSHIFT®, Subaru’s proprietary Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive (http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1733708&page=14#) system (AWD), fog lights, 18″ alloy wheels, 8-way power driver seat, 4-way power passenger seat, 3-rows of seating, flexible 40/20/40 split rear seatback, dual-zone automatic climate control, rear auxiliary air conditioning, heated front seats, and a full complement of safety features (http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1733708&page=14#) including electronic stability control.
The well-equipped Tribeca 3.6R Limited builds on 3.6R Premium content with standard equipment like the 10-speaker 6 CD harmon/kardon audio system, XM® Satellite Radio, BlueConnect® Bluetooth hands-free phone system, leather seat materials, 2-position memory driver’s seat, and Homelink®, and begins at an MSRP of $32,495.
The 2010 Tribeca 3.6R Limited offers the following options: Power Moonroof Package for $1,500, Power Moonroof and Navigation System for $3,700, and the Power Moonroof, Navigation System and Rear Seat Entertainment System (RSES) Package for $5,500.
The new top-of-the-line 2010 Tribeca 3.6R Touring model is equipped standard with all 3.6R Limited model features plus a monotone exterior paint treatment, 18″ alloy wheels, silver front underguard and roof rails, HID low-beam headlights, power moonroof, auto-dimming mirror with integrated 3.5″ backup camera display, and begins at $35,795. For 2010 model year the Touring model offers the following options: Navigation System for $2,200 and the combined Navigation and Rear Seat Entertainment System (RSES) for $4,000.
Destination and delivery for the Subaru Tribeca is $695 ($845 for dealers in Alaska).
"More interior flexibility". I would really like to know what that entails.

Monotone paint on the Touring, so different colored cladding for the rest of the lineup?

Man we just got out 09 Tribeca Limited with Navi. We do love the car but the usability of the Nav system is a downer. We were using a Garmin nuvi 780 which is years ahead of the 09's nav system.
Tribeca Touring sounds nice! Monotone paint would be very cool. HID's a plus. Can't wait to see it!

I sat in the 2010 Tribeca. It's pretty much same as '09. The monotone exterior didn't impress me. IMO, I think the unpainted rocker panels, wheel arches, front and back being unpainted black is more practical as it's areas that gets scratches dings and dents and gives car some character.
While monotone will attract some buyers, I find what Subaru did was more rushed in that they just wanted to offer a twist and it wasn't really something that was executed properly. Looking at the rocker panel for instance, it was previously textured with a bumpy pattern. For 2010, they just sprayed over the bumpy texture with paint. I think its kinds tacky. If they were going to do this, they should of polished out the bumps and made it a smooth silky surface. Also, the silver painted roof rails didn't impress me either. I'd rather they chromed it to match the chrome handles. If you bought a car other than silver, It felt like the roof rails belonged to a silver car and was accidently installed on the wrong vehicle.
No flaming please. Just my opinion! :)

That's interesting about the new paint job -- they should have used new smooth molds for those body parts. Did you notice anything different with the interior?
There are photos of a white monotone tribeca on another site (the photos are from a Frankfurt show) and it looks very nice from afar, but it has black roof rails and nice 5-spoke wheels.
Speaking of which, what did the wheels look like on the '10?

From afar, montone look is monotone look. If you like it, then it'll look great to you. As I mentioned, only when you go for closer inspection, you get a little disappointed that all they did was take '09 parts and sprayed it with paint.
I agree they should of made new molds, but molds are very expensive! The only things I noticed interior was a new style grill with Harmon kardon labeled on the vent just below the NAV screen. It used to look like vents, but now its got metal mesh look. I think it looks nice. At least stuff won't be able to fall in now! Also, where the sunglass holder was where moonroof buttons are, now resides the bluetooth features. So, no more sunglass storage.
I believe the wheels have now gone back to 2006-2007 7 spoke design.

ohh so its out in Canada..boy i hope it has more options then that in the U.S..prob not but i can hope...and yea Subaru really needs to TRY to push it if they want to sell it..i mean the Outback..so many commercails of offroading and such...Tribeca..they have people in it like oh this is nice..they need better adverstising and pride.

Info and pictures of the 2010 Tribeca are available on the Canadian Subaru site.
No telescoping steering wheel.
Fuel tank still 16.9 gallons. (Less than the Outback or Forester.)
Cosmetic/electronic changes only as far as I can tell.

I'll wait for the 2011 or 2012 then. I have a 2004 Toyota Sienna and 2007 tribeca right now. The Sienna is hitting 97k now and it'll be time to replace late next year or the year after. It's our workhorse car, but I love driving the 2007 Tribeca. Too bad, my wife took it over for her morning commutes.
I think a slight stretch in size would make the Tribeca perfect. With all 7 seats up, the trunk has barely enough room to fit anything beyond simple groceries. I think that would complete Subaru's lineup and allow it to compete with all the other mid-size utes out there.

I would wait for the redesign too, i spoke to a Subaru rep and asked if the Tribeca would make a redesign or be discontinued and told me that they have no intent of discontinuing the Tribeca..which made me happy, also the 2010 Tribecas..the bluetooth is kinda retarded..its where the sunglass storage is..they should have redone the steering wheel, much more luxurious also the touring model has 26-07 Tribeca rims

Sounds like Subaru is planning a last-ditch redesign of the Tribeca to see if it can attract more buyers. While I think the size is fine (if anything, I think it is too cumbersome to navigate now, compared to my old Grand Cherokee), I'd bet it will grow a lot more to distance itself from the Forester and Outback.

i hope the 2010 Tribeca does well but it does need to be redone and when that happens it will be a success like the Outback and Forester although there are many mid-size SUVs which makes the competion harder
