Ok anyone out there with a 3rd row seat/7 passenger version chime in with what you think of the third row knee/leg room! I sat in one at the dealership and I have come to conclusion that only baby seats can fit back there.... unless you don't have legs in which case you would be quite comfy.

It's tight but usable if you move the middle row up properly there is room. The problem is the way you move the middle row is kind of goofy. It has two sets of levers. One to set how bar back the center row can go and the other for the normal travel.

I will have to take a closer look at it because my wife wants an SUV and I want another subaru so the B9 looks like a likely option. It won't be for a year of two though so maybe that design will change in the 07 or 08. I think the perfect B9 for us would be a usable 7 passenger version with hybrid engine technology. Hopefully that is on the horizon. Back on topic though, other then the small third row, I love the interior.

3rd row is kinda useless, but we got it anyway since its the same price of a 5 passenger, plus we got a trade-in allowance of $1000 if we bought the 7 passenger.

New front end design is likely for '08 as I've seen personally.

Not sure about US models, but the Tribeca will be getting the diesel engine in Australia. I would much rather the diesel over a Hybrid, but whether or not Subaru of America will try push diesels is another Q.
A recent article in Australia said the only Hybrid Subaru would be the next gen Impreza. The rest of the range would be Diesel options. Same for US perhaps?
