So, you changed the strut mount, but not the strut unit?

Seems like allot of work to not have changed the strut while you had it out.

if the struts are still OK, why to change them?

Few month ago, I've done little more in my front suspension. I'he change struts mounts KYB, control arms bushings Febest+OEM, ball joints CTR, tie rods ends CTR, links CTR, stabilizer bushings OEM. Also I've fix rear leveling sensor link with some hardware store parts.

Ten minutes each side for the strut mounts !! The struts are ok, left side also.Changed and stored the old (mount) , was as new.
Propably the right side failed due to some hard bump while the car was loaded. So my mechanic said.
I make long trips from Greece to Poland with the car fully loaded, heavy as a truck.
